TRAVEL
If you are planning to fly, there are two airports close to the city. We recommend taking an Uber or Lyft from the airport. Public transportation (BART) or rental cars are also available.
San Francisco Airport (SFO), ~25 minutes outside of the city
Oakland Airport (OAK), ~40 minutes outside of the city
Rideshares: If you plan to stay in the city for the whole weekend, the most convenient way to get around is through Uber / Lyft.
Public Transportation: Another option of transport in the city is through BART and Muni. While more cost effective than Uber/Lyft, they don't cover as many areas of the city and may be less convenient depending on where you stay.
Car Rentals: We recommend renting a car only if you plan to explore the surrounding Bay Area (Napa, Sonoma, Peninsula, Marin, etc). Be warned that valet parking for hotels in the city can be pricey and your car will not be needed for the wedding. Transportation from the ceremony to reception will be provided, and there is limited parking at both venues.
Shuttles are available from Kimpton and One Hotel to take guests to the ceremony should you find that more convenient than Uber/Lyft. Likewise, both shuttles will be available to transport guests from the ceremony to Foreign Cinema. Please arrive for hotel pick up at 4:30pm as shuttles will depart promptly.
